Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Lean-Sigma Project Manager will lead all aspects of the assigned projects, including but not limited to defining roles and responsibilities, project scopes, work orders, timelines, spend approvals, internal & external communication, documentation, and archiving. 

The Lean-Sigma Program Manager will be responsible for:

  • Lead assigned project using the company best practices and key tools and techniques from the Lean-Sigma approach;
  • Lead Lean Events Kaizens on a regular basis (Opening presentation, progress report, closing presentation);
  • Promote the Lean Event Kaizen approach in the company;
  • Propose improvements to PM best practices and the Lean-Sigma approach;
  • Identifying and managing risks at all levels;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor;
  • Maintaining compliance with all company policies and procedures.

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Lean-Sigma Green Belt (minimum);
  • Fully autonomous in running kaizen Events;
  • 3-6 years of experience in Lean-sigma project management;
  • Certification in project management is an asset;
  • Aviation/aerospace experience is an asset;
  • Production and operations experience is an asset;

 

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers;
  • Bilingualism English and French is essential
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service;
  • Autonomy
  • Ability to analyze situations strategically
  • Flexibility and availability to travel occasionally;
  • Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values.
  • Position requires Level II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
