Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Purchasing Coordinator are responsible for all aspects related to the day-to-day Purchasing activities, Strategic purchasing and others, as detailed below:

  • Provide purchasing support to bases, including direct execution of Local Procurement Orders
  • Provide interface with transportation
  • Monitor Estimated Delivery Dates (EDDs) from Suppliers; Follow-up with Suppliers to ensure that the promised dates are maintained; Inform Top Aces employee who made the requisition of the obtained EDDs and any updates on the delivery of the ordered components; Expedite orders when required; Evaluate Supplier’s performance
  • Establish avenues where a strategic buying approach is more profitable, negotiate and finalize an “umbrella agreement” with them
  • Communicate with any of the suppliers mentioned above in case of any anomalies (received broken parts/units, warranty issues, certification issues, delays, over charges, etc.) and a reach resolution
  • Gather information required to populate the Warranty database; Could be required to execute different tasks during day-to-day operation dept. activity
  • Provide required information to the Supply Chain Manager concerning the monthly highlights
  • Provide required input to the Supply Chain Manager concerning the monthly performance metrics
  • Could be required to travel to different sites, as well as some deployment sites with the fleet to act as the on-deployment supply representative
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:


  • 5 years of work experience in a similar role in Supply Chain, in a Purchasing role
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to function in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of AMS and/or SharePoint, an asset
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Positive, professional attitude and the ability to take initiative
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills including high attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Advanced computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem solving skills and solution oriented
  • Ability to work both as part of a team independently
  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values
  • Ability to obtain a valid Passport
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Position requires Level II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
